Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava upbeat ahead of Caf clash against Petro Atletico

Hosts Petro Atletico will be out in search of a first win after they fell to Hussein Dey in the opening match

Captain Harun Shakava is confident Gor Mahia will force an away victory against Petro de Angola in the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Kenyan Champions defeated Zamalek 4-2 in the opening Group D match while the Angolan side fell 2-1 to Hussein Dey.

Shakava is, however, expecting a tough outing against the West African side who he believes are desperate for a positive result in this game.

"It is not an easy match, playing away has always been tough but that does not mean we cannot come back home with a win. Yes, we understand we are going to play a good team, but we are up to the task. Preparations on our side have been good, and we know what we are going for.

"The win against Zamalek gave us much-needed confidence, but the campaign has just begun, it is all about consistency."

Zamalek will be at home against Hussein Dey in the other Group D game.
