Gondia Medical Apathy | Fire safety norms violated in the hospitals | Times Now Investigation

The tragic blaze at a Maharashtra hospital in the twin Telugu states that left 10 babies dead and related fire incidents, including the mishap at the Guntur district hospital last week, may serve as an eye-opener to the authorities. It is said that the authorities did not review hospitals immediately, check deviations in building plans, and verify their facilities and plans for fire-fighting.

Times now did an on-ground investigation and a safety check of the hospitals. The investigation revealed that the hospital in Gondia does not have fire alarms, only one fire extinguisher is installed, no mock drills conducted, etc. Therefore, a clear violation of all the fire safety norms was seen.
