Gold futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Jul 2 (PTI) Gold prices on Friday rose Rs 350 to Rs 47,389 per 10 grams in the futures trade, as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for the August delivery traded higher by Rs 350, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 47,389 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 10,648 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
