Gold futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Gold prices on Friday rose Rs 95 to Rs 47,816 per 10 gram in the futures trade, as speculators created fresh positions amid firming spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for the August delivery traded higher by Rs 95, or 0.2 per cent, to Rs 47,816 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 9,331 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
