Gold futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Feb 18 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday rose Rs 158 to Rs 46,395 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for the April delivery traded higher by Rs 158, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 46,395 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 13,640 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
