New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday rose by Rs 132 to Rs 51,580 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 132, or 0.26 per cent, at Rs 51,580 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 14,943 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
However, gold prices traded 0.40 per cent lower at USD 1,967.10 per ounce in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
