Gold futures decline on low spot demand

New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) Gold futures on Thursday slipped 0.86 per cent to Rs 47,340 per 10 gram, as participants offloaded their holdings on low spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for the February delivery fell by Rs 410, or 0.86 per cent, to Rs 47,340 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 31 lots.

The yellow metal for April delivery eased by Rs 461, or 0.96 per cent, to Rs 47,355 per 10 gram in 13,643 lots.

In the international market, gold was trading 0.96 per cent lower at USD 1,817.50 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
