Goa covid crisis: state fails to resolve death rate; 15 deaths due to oxygen shortage

The situation is becoming horrific with every passing day; 26 covid patients died at the Goa Medical College and Hospital on May 11, 12 on May 20, whereas 13 patients died on May 13. The hospital has not been getting a sufficient amount of liquid oxygen from the government. The hospital informed that the deaths arose due to logistic issues; the government has set a panel to find out ways and eliminate the 'logistic issues' from the hospital. Pramod Sawant appealed to the central government to immediately intervene as Goa was not getting its full allocated daily quota of 11 tonnes of liquid oxygen from Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
