As a supermodel, Gisele Bündchen is no stranger to glam gowns and armies of makeup artists and hairstylists. For her new book cover, however, the Brazilian catwalker opted to focus on the natural beauty for which she’s known.
On Thursday, Bündchen gave fans a sneak peek of Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, in which she shares her life story. In an Instagram post revealing the cover, she shares that writing the book was “a transformative and intense process,” adding that she opens up about her “shadows and insecurities” and discusses self-acceptance.
The mom of two appears to be virtually makeup-free in the stunning shot, which shows off her smattering of freckles. Her long hair is worn loose and naturally wavy, and her oversize, army-green shirt looks like it could have ben plucked from husband Tom Brady’s side of the closet.
Looking every inch the passionate environmentalist she is, Bündchen added that proceeds from the book will be donated to Água Limpa, her clean water project in Brazil.
The book hits stores on Oct. 2.
