Actress Gauahar Khan has been booked by Mumbai Police for allegedly shooting even after she tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Oshiwara Police, Khan had tested positive for COVID-19 and was asked to quarantine herself but she didn't.

When a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official learned that she was missing from her Andheri home, they approached the police.

Details: Khan booked under various sections of the IPC

The actress, who was last seen in the controversial series Tandav, has been booked under various sections of the IPC.

DCP (operations) and PRO for Mumbai Police, S Chaitanya said, "An FIR has been registered at Oshiwara Police station u/s 188, 269, 270 IPC, 51B of NDMA Act, 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act, on the complaint of a BMC official."

Social media: BMC also tweeted about the development

After the FIR was lodged, the BMC tweeted about the incident.

The tweet read, "No Compromise On City's Safety! BMC has filed an FIR against a Bollywood actor for non-compliance to COVID19 guidelines on testing positive. (sic)"

They emphasized that the rules regarding COVID-19 are equal for all and urged everyone to follow them religiously to avert any tragedy.

Life: Not long ago, Khan lost her father

Khan was in the news recently after she lost her father. Her father was sick for some time and she constantly posted on social media about his health, urging her fans to pray for him.

She had posted a heartfelt note as well, calling him her hero.

"My father has passed, to the ever after as an Angel, (sic)," she had written.
