Hyderabad, Apr 1 (PTI) Former MP and reputed industrialist G Vivekanand has been elected president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) after conducting elections as per the Lodha Committee’s recommendations.
Vivekanand comes in place of former India spinner Arshad Ayub, whose role had been under scanner after an adverse audit report from Deloitte.
Vivekanand beat rival Vidyut Jaisimha 136-69 while T Seshnarayan was elected secretary unanimously.
The elections were held on January 17, but the results were withheld following petitions that challenged the polls.
