Fukrey Returns Box Office Collection: Pulkit Samrat- Varun Sharma’s Flick Enters Rs 100 Crore Club In Third Week

The Fukras totally deserve it!

The sequel of Fukrey (2013), Fukrey Returns opened in the theatres on December 8. The film brought back the old gang of Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Zafar (Ali Fazal) and Lali (Manjot Singh) along with Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadda). The film enjoyed a decent first day opening at the box office, garnering around Rs 8.10  crores on Friday. With a 25% to 30% occupancy in the morning shows, the film got upto a 40% – 50 % occupancy in Delhi/NCR region. This is only set to grow during the weekend as good word from fans spreads on social media.

The film’s director Mrighadeep Singh Lamba and team promised us a madder, crazier comedy and they have kept to their promise. The film is made at a total budget of Rs 25 crores which includes making, promotions and advertising cost. If the first day trend continues over the next few days, Fukrey Returns will see no difficulty is recovering all the money and start making profits soon. It might well recover all its money on the first weekend itself. Talking about the thunderous response to the film, trade analyst and film critic said in his tweet, “#Fukrey is now a BRAND in view of the TERRIFIC START of #FukreyReturns… Joins the list of ESTABLISHED BRANDS like #HouseFull, #Dhamaal, #Golmaal and #Judwaa… Genre: Comedy/Entertainer. Fukrey Returns Movie Review: Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadda Return With A Funnier, Madder, Entertaining Comedy

The film is set in Delhi where the Fukras go about living a non-adventurous, normal life, until Bholi Punjaban, who has been in the Central Jail for the last one year, is released and comes back to take revenge from the infamous four. She is meaner this time and the stakes are higher. Will the Fukras be able to come out of this new mess unscathed or will they go down into a deeper ditch? This time around, the four boys will also have to fight the Delhi cops, a slimy old politician and some junta of the city. Comedy, drama, twists and turns – the film promises all the right elements to be an entertainer!
