Frankfurt Motorshow 2017: Land Rover Discovery SVX revealed
Land Rover has revealed the Discovery SVX at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show.
The SVO (Special Vehicles Operation) team at Jaguar Land Rover has come out with the Discovery SVX, a hand-crafted Land Rover SUV that is the most capable one till date. The new car was unveiled at the ongoing Frankfurt Motorshow.
The Land Rover Discovery SVX is powered by Jaguar Land Rover's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol powertrain which is tuned to make 525PS peak power and 625Nm of peak torque. The SVO team has specially tuned the engine to make it suitable for all kinds of terrains.
The Land Rover Discovery SVX is an off-roader's dream as the suspension has been tinkered with to provide better off-road grip. It has been raised, employs long-travel dampers and revised knuckles and forged aluminium alloy wheels shod with larger 275/55 R20 Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tyres.
The car even gets an integrated winch which will allow the driver to negotiate the toughest off-road conditions with relative ease. The car will go on sale sometime next year and will be hand built at Jaguar Land Rover's Oxford Road facility in Coventry.
