Former Cong leader Jitin Prasada joins BJP; party members claim ideological differences

Jitin Prasada's exits from the Congress party to join BJP has now created a rumble in the Congress party. Congress leader Veerappa Moily has now responded saying Jitin Prasada's ideological commitment towards the party has always been in doubt from the beginning. He continues to say that the promotion he has got in his two decades of association with the Congress party was not necessarily based on merit. There was bound to be criticism with regards to the latest episode in the Congress party and tearaway where it was clearly seen that the leaders were not happy with the promotion of young leaders. With Jitin Prasada leaving the party it has given old leadership a chance to question the internal dynamics of the party but at the same time question as to what really is the operative part through which a leader is promoted. All this comes at a time when internal elections are due for the post of the party president for the Congress party.
