Forest Rights act has been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir to safeguard the rights of forest dwellers and communities. The Gupkar gang yesterday cited that forest dwellers and nomads in the state were thrown out of the state, but the centre has now restored an act for them specifically. This is an order from the Jammu and Kashmir government, it has been issued today. There will first be a committee to scrutinise who the people will be who will take the land. That is the order that has come in from the government. Mehbooba Mufti alleged that the central government is trying to remove the Gujjar community from the area.
