FootballISM set to redefine youth football management in Nigeria

The football management platform has started managing football academies in Nigeria, kicking off with Barca Academy, and Southampton's

Sports management technology platform FootballISM has kick-started a partnership that will see them manage 10 football academies in Nigeria.

FootballISM , built with the experience of Portuguese outfit Sporting CP’s Alcochete Academy, is a sport technological platform which helps manage almost all aspects of a footballer’s career, including training, personal development, legal, equipment and medicals.

Starting off with Barcelona Academy, Lagos, the platform has already secured 300 young footballers, aged between 8 and 19 years. And in January 2019, they aim to move to over 600 with new Southampton football academy set to join.

“The agreement is part of a broad project to create a total of 10 football academies in [Nigeria],” read an official statement.

“The original technological solution gives to decision makers and staff a tool to rethink management strategies, promote best practices and have an efficient working environment.”

Filipe Esteves, Head of FootballISM continued: “The purpose behind building FootballISM is to reinvent the way football is managed.

“Football academies and clubs have access to complete information in a single platform, customizable, that allows to integrate the data of all departments.

“The partnership set in Nigeria with Barça Academy Lagos is the confirmation that FootballISM is the future of talent management in this competitive sport. The agreement makes our platform an additional resource to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the sporting reality in this geography.”
