Noida (UP), Feb 18 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar recorded five new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday that pushed the district's infection tally to 25,469, official data showed.
The number of active cases in the district rose to 63 from 46 the previous day, according to the data released by the UP Health Department for a 12-hour period.
Five novel coronavirus patients got discharged during the period with the overall recoveries reaching 25,315, the fifth highest in the state.
The death toll from the pandemic stands at 91 in Gautam Buddh Nagar, while the district has a mortality rate of 0.35 per cent. It has a COVID-19 recovery rate of 99.39 per cent, the statistics showed.
Meanwhile, the number of active COVID-19 cases in UP came down to 2,574 from 2,690 on Wednesday, while the overall recoveries reached 5,91,270 and the death toll rose to 8,711 on Thursday, the data showed. PTI KIS CK
