Ekta Kapoor was in town to promote the second season of ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain’ along with the cast comprising Ronit Roy, Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli. Well, The Quint caught up with them and had a pretty candid conversation.

Starting with their first impression of each other, Ronit Roy admitted to being terrified of her thanks to the many tales he had heard about Ekta. Mona Singh reminisced about her first encounter with Ekta Kapoor and how their fierce rivalry shaped into a beautiful off-screen camaraderie.

But, what was Ekta Kapoor’s first impression of her cast? Which Hollywood star inspired her hunt for Rishabh Bajaj (lead character in one of her serials)? What happened when she called Mona out of the blue and offered to cast her? Well, we are not gonna spill any beans here. But I can assure you that ‘picture abhi baaki hai mere dost’.

And yes, we finally asked Ekta why and what led her to use the ‘swish-pan effect’ in her serials. What is ‘swish pan’ you ask? Remember that camera effect when a vamp is introduced on screen? How the camera zooms in from multiple angles with some over-the-top edgy music score? Yes, you remember right! Well, she did answer it but to know more, you must watch the video.

We finally figured out (at least in our heads) what makes Ekta Kapoor angry. We also found out the real difference between working for web and working for television. The difference may or may not surprise you. How to decide? Well, watch the video.

Oh, you knew it! Click on the video link and get ready to have a blast with the cast of ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain’ (season 2), streaming now on Alt Balaji.
