First batch of 1.5 lakh Sputnik V arrives in India; Russia to supply 30 million doses soon

India has been suffering from a severe shortage of vaccines and an increasing number of coronavirus cases, amidst all the crisis now the Russian vaccine, Sputnik V has arrived in India. This is the first batch of Russian vaccine which has arrived in India, the jabs are around 1.5 lakh in the count. A few days back the arrival of Sputnik V to India was confirmed and was about to arrive before the starting of the third phase of the coronavirus vaccination drive i.e. May 1. Currently, we have received only 1.5 lakh vaccine doses but soon Russia will supply around 30 million doses to India. The upcoming 30 million doses will be circulated in the nation for the third phase which has already begun from today for all the citizens above 18 to 44 years old.
