Amid masks were made compulsory for all, NexGen 3 Ding came up with 3-D printed face shields. 3 Ding CEO, Surendranath Reddy said, "We are making these face shields as second-layer protection for healthcare workers. The face mask has a short lifeline and these shields will withstand longer." He said that after doctors were complaining that they were not getting proper PPEs, and they had to use garbage bags to cover their face, we came up with this idea of 3-D printing face shields. He said, "We will be giving these masks for free to the daily essential workers." The aim is to avoid community transmission.
