Finance Ministry briefing on Covid-19 relief measures; Free tourist visas to 5 lakh tourists

In a finance ministry briefing by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of the country, various relief measures were announced for Covid-19 hit sectors. In the briefing, various relief measures announced included Rs 23,220 crore for public health. Special focus on children and pediatric care was talked about. They also discussed the doubling up of farmers’ income by the Union government. An additional amount of Rs 14,775 crore is being provided for nutrient-based subsidy for the farmers. An expansion of Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) for job creation. EPFO scheme has been extended until March 31, 2022. Watch the video to know more!
