Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announces Union Budget 2021 | Full Speech

As Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the Union Budget for the year 2021, she borrowed the words of Rabindranath Tagore – Faith is the word that feels the lights and sings when the dawn is still dark, Finance Minister addresses the Parliament on February 1.

She further added that she extends her heartfelt gratitude to COVID warriors. She added that we have witnessed an unprecedented slowdown globally. Vaccination will help economy recover. She added that during the pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced PM Garb Kalyan Yojana valued at Rs 2.76 lakh crore that provided free food grains to 800 million people. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam also added that India now has one of the lowest COVID-19 death rates of 112 per million population and one of the lowest active cases of about 130 per million.
