The gorgeous Asha Parekh, 78, was spotted at a Mumbai hospital, getting her first dose of the COVID vaccine. She smiled for the cameras and encouraged all citizens to make sure they get the vaccine dose as well.
She shimmied to her heart’s content in all her films and was a flag-bearer of women-oriented roles in the 60s and 70s.
Today, Asha Parekh spends her time focussing on her dance academy Kara Bhavan. The Asha Parekh Hospital in Mumbai was named in her honour because of her many social and philanthropy contributions.
Asha-ji divulged in her autobiography 'Hit Girl', that mentor and producer Nasir Hussain was the only man she ever loved.
She chose not to indulge in what would be a complicated relationship with a married man and instead, led a dignified single life.
In an interview last year, she reaffirmed this decision by saying, “I chose self-respect over society’s standard.”
