We got a chance to play both the games and here’s a quick comparison between the FIFA 20 and eFootball PES 2020.

It's a battle that’s been waging for years now. At one end The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) fans go chest-thumping, claiming that it’s the best football simulator game on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

However, the eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 has introduced certain updates that make it a worthy competitor to EA’s flagship football game.

FIFA 20 has added a lot of tactical defending and with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence), players are smarter in putting tackles and interceptions.

The gameplay has changed the way players move around the pitch and with the updated ball physics, how the ball moves in the air and the ground also changes.

PES has always got the better of FIFA in terms of graphics and it’s no different this season either. The character animation and in-game player movement are better than FIFA as well.

However, the in-game menu and overall interface in PES is terrible. Some of the player profiles in PES have cartoon characters rather than real images of the players.

It doesn’t look like FIFA 20 has made any changes in the graphics department however the in-game menu and interface are better than PES.

Also, the VOLTA mode in FIFA 20 is a game-changer. It is a combination of FIFA Street and Journey Mode which was introduced earlier. It’s pacey street football which you can play in 17 different locations all over the world and in three different modes.

PES has not introduced any new modes, although it has made incremental upgrades to the existing ones.
