In 1965, the Canadian government allowed a maximum of 1,500 women to serve directly in all three branches of its armed forces. By 1989, Canada had opened all combat roles except those involving submarine warfare to women. 

Female soldiers around the world

Roles of a mother, homemaker, artist, or entrepreneur are synonymous with women. However, when it comes to protecting their country they are as capable as men. Breaking stereotypes, women are combating equality on the frontline with their fellow soldiers.
