The Delhi police have refused to permit farmers from the Singhu border to hold protests outside the Parliament increasing forces at the capital’s borders, Red Fort, and New Delhi district. More than 30,000 police personnel have been deployed across the city for patrolling and duty at pickets after multiple meetings were held with farmer leaders regarding the parliament protest. However, no conclusion was made and the stalemate between the farmers and police continues. The farmers have not accepted the alternate venue solution proposed by the police. Farmers are firm about staging a sit-in protest outside the Parliament House from July 22 till the end of the monsoon session. Watch!
