Farmers half-bury themselves to seek Govt.'s attention over land barren issue

In the view of seeking some help from the Maharashtra government, Dalit farmers in Sangli's Nandre village protested in a unique way to draw administration's attention towards their land barren problem. On the occasion of Baba Saheb's 127th birth anniversary, 26 Dalit farmers half buried themselves on Friday and urged the government to take some action to make their barren land fertile. Maharashtra faces drought issue every year due to which the suicide ratio of farmers has increased.
