The farmers have been protesting against the three farm laws for over 6 months now and have demanded that the talks be restored in order to put an end to the impasse. The farmers have written to the PM stating that they will intensify the stir amid the ongoing COVID crisis in the country. A pro-farm laws group has now also written to the Prime Minister, Home Minister and the Agriculture Minister, asking to restore the talks. The pro-govt farmers' Union has stated that the protest will continue amid COVID and it is time that the talks are restored, so that no more lives are risked. This comes at a time when the Haryana govt has already mapped out data linking the COVID spike to the farmers' agitation.
