Fake call centre busted by Delhi police

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Delhi Police has busted a fake call centre and arrested 26 people, including 5 women. People working at the call centres would impersonate as Amazon customer service providers to dupe US citizens. They used illegal techniques like VOIP calling, bypassing the legal international long-distance gateways. Police raided their office-like set up, which is under the jurisdiction of Fatehpur Beri Police Station in Sultanpuri region. Culprits were caught red-handed trying to dupe people on calls. Police have also seized 29 Computer Systems, 3 Servers, 2 Internet switches, 2 Modems with other accessories being used by the employees and mobile phone containing details of duped transactions.
