Brighton and Hove Albion defender Gaetan Bong has praised Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah for his skills and goalscoring prowess.
The Egypt international put in a blistering performance in his debut campaign at Anfield last season scoring 44 goals and became the fastest player to reach the 50-goal mark for the Reds.
The 26-year-old who won several awards for his imposing form last term is in contention to scoop yet another prize having been shortlisted for the BBC Africa Footballer of the Year prize.
And the 30-year-old defender who has played against the former Roma player in the Premier League has lauded him.
“He has everything, he’s top scorer,” Bong told BBC Sports.
“He is a good player and good on the ball, strong and always working hard.
“You cannot maybe see it sometimes but when you are on the pitch, he is making a lot of runs, a lot of strong runs.”
After struggling at the start of the season, the forward haa rediscovered his form. He now has eight goals across all competitions this season.
Liverpool take on Watford on Saturday and Salah will hope to continue the impressive form after helping Egypt to victory over Tunisia in their African Cup of Nations qualifiers last weekend.
