England vs West Indies: Moeen Ali Smashes 8 sixes in 14 balls in his 57-ball 102 at Bristol
New Delhi: Moeen Ali registered the second fastest ODI hundred for England after hitting a century off 53 balls in the ongoing third ODI against West Indies, at Bristol. His innings of 102 in 57 balls consisted of 7 boundaries and 8 sixes with the last eight balls resulting in 42 Runs.
Here’s the scoring sequence of these eight balls: 6-6-2-4-6-6-6-6. The second fifty came off just 12 balls.
Jos Buttler holds the record for the fastest ODI hundred for England. He smashed it in 46 balls against Pakistan in 2015.
It was Ali’s third century in ODIs.
Ali scored just 39 runs in the first 39 balls he faced but in the next 14, the left-hander went berserk smashing 61 runs, which included 8 sixes in his last 14 balls. The English allrounder even brought up his hundred with a maximum.
