Emilia Clarke has proven she has just a great an affinity for dogs as she does for dragons with the latest adorable addition to her household.
In the first picture, both Ted and Clarke gaze in the direction of the camera as the actor places a protective hand underneath the puppy.
The second photograph captures Ted giving the 33-year-old an appreciative lick on the face, while the third shows the puppy lying down alongside a dinosaur toy.
“He just can’t stop. He physically cannot stop being the MOST BEAUTIFUL PUPPY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD,” Clarke wrote in the caption.
“Erryone [sic] meet Ted. Super Ted. My new main squeeze. Light of my goddamn life. Ready to fill this Instagram feed to bursting whilst still being able to leave room in a teacup.”
Within one hour, Clarke’s Instagram post has been liked more than 870,000 times and has prompted thousands of comments.
“Oh my days you got him,” wrote make-up artist Lynsey Alexander, who has worked with the Me Before You star before.
“Good lord he is a vision,” remarked spoken word poet Scroobius Pip.
Two of Clarke’s Game of Thrones co-stars, Richard Madden and Nathalie Immanuel, expressed their admiration for the puppy with heart-eyed emojis.
Several Instagram users referenced the HBO fantasy show, describing Clarke – whose character Daenerys Targaryen was nicknamed Mother of Dragons – as the “Mother of Puppies”.
Meanwhile, others debated Ted’s breed, with several stating that the puppy is a dapple dachshund.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in April 2019, Clarke joined the American talk show host in urging members of the public to adopt rescue dogs.
The segment of the show featured puppies from North Shore Animal League America in New York.
Clarke has another dog called Roxy, whose picture she has shared on Instagram on several occasions.
