Previously, Shaimaa had yelled at Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, Ahmed's concerned bariatric surgeon, and the hospital, blaming them of giving her sister medicine overdose to make her brain dead.
Dr Lakdawala countered Shaimaa by claiming her statement to be false and said that Shaimaa was creating an unnecessary ruckus as she didn't want to take her sister back to Egypt due to monetary reasons.
"Eman is fine and is doing good. She has recovered well and only a CT scan is to be done to ascertain her neurological condition," said Dr Lakdawala stated as reported by ANI.
"Actually, Everything was right with Shaimaa for initial 15 days after Eman's treatment started but when she recovered and we suggested that she can be taken back to Egypt, Shaimaa started to create all this drama as she doesn't want to take her sister back to Egypt due to financial reasons," he added.
Shaimaa said, "I am thankful to India and the doctors in India for helping my sister," as per a report by the ANI.
On April 21, the 36-year-old shed 250 kg over a span of two months after her surgery. Her treatment will be continued in VPS Healthcare, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The officials from the hospital had previously refused to sign the documents by Mumbai's Saifee hospital, but the issue was solved by Dr Deepak Sawant, state health minister.
