Boudh (Odisha), Jun 19 (ANI): An elephant was found dead on June 18 in Mundeswar Reserve Forest under Madhapur forest range in Boudh. The elephant had bullet wounds and was sent for post mortem. Locals of Dakapadar village saw the carcass and informed the forest officials. Two tusks, 4 feet each, of the elephant were found intact. It is suspected that the elephant was killed by poachers who were unable to extract its tusks.Boudh Divisional Forest Officer Jashabanta Sethi said, “Bullet injuries were found on the carcass and it was sent for post-mortem, strict actions will be taken against the accused".
