Election Commission bans all victory processions amid the ongoing Covid crisis

The Election Commission has banned all victory processions on or after counting the day that is the 2nd of May 2021. The election commission has said that “there will be a complete ban on any victory processions by any political party” This decision comes the day just after some scathing observations came to the fore against the poll panel by the Madras High court. The Madras high court yesterday said that one of the reasons for the widespread of Covid cases in India was linked to the election commissions of India. Further, it was also said that the election commission did nothing to ensure that the norms set by the government of India were followed.
