Eid-ul-Adha: People offer namaz at Delhi's Jama Masjid amid COVID-19 protocols

New Delhi, July 21 (ANI): People are celebrating Eid-Ul-Adha across the country on July 21 amid COVID-19 scare. At Delhi's Jama Masjid, the number of people allowed to offer prayers has been limited keeping the COVID pandemic in mind. Eid-Ul-Adha is also known as ‘Bakrid’ and ‘Sacrifice Feast’. On the eve of Eid-Ul-Adha, the Delhi government urged the people to follow COVID-19 guidelines while celebrating the festival. Delhi DCP (Central District), Jasmeet Singh said, “People are cooperating with us and maintaining COVID19 appropriate behavior. Otherwise, it's a very crowded area Jama Masjid. Imam Sahab has also made an announcement here and appeals people to offer namaz at home.”
