ED summons PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti's mother in money laundering case

Jammu and Kashmir: The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Gulshan Nazir, the mother of People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti, for questioning in connection with an alleged money laundering case. Gulshan Nazir has been asked to appear before the central probe agency on April 15th. People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti was also questioned in connection with the matter in March. However, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has slammed the move and said that the Enforcement Directorate summons was a "part of the political vendetta against Mehbooba Mufti and PDP". The said case is linked to the recovery of two diaries during raids on one of Mufti's aides. A case has already been filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
