This Easter Weekend, Go to Kasauli For The Rhythm & Blues Festival

Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival’s eighth edition has been scheduled on April 19-20 this year. It features major contemporary music stars like the Shubhangi Collective, Parikrama, Maati Baani, Hari-Sukhmani, Bryden-Parth, Thaikkudam Bridge and Soundarya

In case you are a part of last-minute vacation wagon for Easter weekend, Kasauli rhythm and Blues Festival is just around the corner with its eighth edition on 19-20 April. In view of helping underprivileged kids suffering from congenital heart defects, KRBF has been organized by Genesis Foundation as a platform to bring together music fans to donate generously and fund this noble cause.

The two-day mega-musical opus will feature India's top musicians and solo artists. First day will feature a collage of three totally different music forms with Shubhangi Joshi Collective opening the festival with much justified vibe of Rhythm & Blues, Jazz and western classic music. This would be followed by India’s top classical and pop fusion couple- MaatiBani.

Headliner for Day 1 is ‘But It Rained' fame – Parikrama. The seven-eight-member rock band is touted to be the one of the main attractions of the event.

Hari And Sukhmani

The second day is filled with four performances, Hari-Sukhmani will be bringing their eclectic sound, fusing traditional Punjabi folk music with electronic music, inspired by Sufi Poets.

The other duo will be Jazz and Indian classical based Bryden-Parth with Choral riff for the magical choir effect known for covering popular Bollywood numbers. The second day also features Thaikkudam Bridge, a rock-classical band and singer, Soundarya.

Second day’s headliner is Kerala-based Thaikkudam Bridge, a rock-classical band known for its exceptional folk and Bollywood covers.

Yogini Shivli

Apart from a tempting musical line-up, the festival also has fun activities such as a dance workshop by Delhi-based ‘Happyfeet’ dance group and yoga class by Yogini Shivli. Yogini Shivli’s yoga sessions work on the concept of finding balance, the Shiva & Shakti, the Ying & Yang. Chakra Yoga & Qigong are her artistically curated series of classes that invite you to be in the moment, helping you let go and finding joy from within.
