Double Mutant strain wreaks havoc in India: WHO suggests Covaxin more effective

Three preliminary studies by the World Health Organization suggest that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are not that effective against the double mutant strain of the coronavirus that has been found in India. The specialized agency has described this variant as a 'variant of concern'. The studies in fact have suggested that Bharat Biotech's Covaxin is more effective against this variant of the deadly virus. These studies however remain inconclusive as they are yet to be tested in the real world.
