Don't judge a film through its trailer: LKSMLD producer over VHP protest

'Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana', the film which seemed to be a family entertainer, was caught in the midst of controversy just few days prior to its release. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had raised objection to a scene, where Laali (Akshara Haasan) is seen taking Saath-Phere (Seven rounds) during her pregnancy days and according to them it is against the Hindu rituals. VHP staged a protest outside the film's producer Rahul Aggarwal's office, demanding removal of that particular scene from the film. Expressing disappointment over the incident, LKSMLD producer said that these days everyone needs a reason to get offended. Adding more to it, Rahul said that one should not judge a film through its trailer, stressing that people should first see the film and then decide whether it is objectionable or not. Starring Akshara Hassan, Vivaan Shah, Gurmeet Choudhary, Kavitta Verma, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Mishra in key roles, the film is all set to take its audience on a laughter ride. Directed by Manish Harishankar, 'Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana' will hit the screens on 7th April.
