Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival just ended, but we’re right back in the middle of sales and deal season again, with Diwali around the corner. But with the sheer number of options available, sorting out the really great deals from the products that are discounted by a few rupees can be hard. So we did the work for you. We checked all the top sites to see what’s on offer, and here were some of the best tech deals we found. There are also deals on books, clothes and other categories, but they’re much more subjective, so we’ll just tell you that there are a lot of discounts on Myntra right now. Here, then, are our favorite gadget deals.

Amazon Diwali deals

Looking for a phone? There are some big deals on phones on Amazon, with the OnePlus 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 both on big discounts. There are also a number of great deals on Sennheiser headphones, and if you’re looking for a noise-cancelling headphone, then you should just go ahead and buy the Sony WH-1000XM3, which is easily one of the best in the category. TCL’s TVs also get big discounts, so check those out as well.

Here are some top picks:

OnePlus 7 Pro

Normally priced at Rs 48,999, the OnePlus 7 Pro is now available for Rs 44,999 which is a pretty good deal on what we thought was one of the best phones in terms of performance and design. You can read our review here in case you’re ready for an upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been replaced by a new generation, it’s still a very impressive phone, and at Rs 41,999 it’s a pretty good deal compared with the usual price of Rs 67,900, according to price tracking website Keepa.

These headphones are possibly the most comfortable to wear for long durations, and the sound quality is excellent. So prepare to be blown away by the discounted price: Rs 8,999. According to Keepa, the headphones normally go for Rs 14,000, and peak at Rs 16,000 so this is a pretty solid deal, although the price actually went even lower (to Rs 8,499) during the Great India Sale. Still, not a bad deal at all.

Sony WH-1000MX3

Looking for noice-cancellation headphones? The Sony WH-1000MX3 ones are some of the best in the category right now, and with the huge discount running, definitely worth buying. They have an MRP of Rs 29,990 but right now they’re selling for Rs 20,490. They typically sell online for around Rs 27,000, so this is still a pretty great deal, and these are excellent headphones.

TCL 65-inch Smart 4K LED TV

Although this TCL sSmart TV normally sells for Rs 65,999 as per Keepa, you can get it for Rs 47,999, which is a pretty good deal. If that’s beyond your budget, there are similar deals on smaller TVs as well. Having used this television, this writer can say that it’s a good value-for-money buy. The panel won’t blow you away unlike an LG OLED TV, but then, those are over Rs 2 lakh at this size, so it’s not much of a comparison.

Flipkart Diwali deals

Flipkart also has some great phone deals, and there was an excellent deal on the 6th gen iPad which has now gotten sold out — though it’s definitely worth checking the site from time to time to see if the sale comes back.

Samsung Galaxy S9

Normally priced at Rs 57,999, according to online price tracker PriceHistory.in, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is selling for Rs 29,999, which is a huge discount. It’s also still an amazing phone, and at the price, it’s definitely one to consider. Its specs put it a little below some of the modern competition, but it’s still a gorgeous phone with an excellent camera, and at the new price, it’s actually very competitive.

Google Pixel 3a

The Google Pixel 3a launched in May priced at Rs 39,999, but you can get it on Flipkart for Rs 29,999 right now. Flipkart’s been bringing it down to this price in every recent sale, so it’s not likely to get any lower. As we noted in our review, this is a phone that chooses the user experience over the spec sheet. And with the Google Pixel 4 not coming to India, this might be the best value buy in the Pixel family right now.

Apple iPad 6th Generation

Possibly the best value-for-money product from Apple, the iPad 6th generation is a great buy, and during the Flipkart sale, its price drops to Rs 21,999, as opposed to Rs 26,880 as per PriceHistory. That’s not the biggest drop in absolute terms, but it certainly makes for a very appealing price for the tablet, so check Flipkart to see if the deal is back on, just in case.

Other sales

Snapdeal’s Diwali sale was last month, for some reason, and Xiaomi is running its Diwali With Mi sale with discounts on select products from the brand. There are some good deals on Mi TVs, and Rs 1,000 off on the Mi Air purifier, which is a pretty good buy that doesn’t put a hole in your wallet. Samsung is also offering deals on phones via its online store, and mattress company WakeFit is offering up to 25% off as well. Myntra has a sale promising 50-80% off on select products, and Amazon is also running Diwali sales on books, with print titles like The Great Gatsby selling for Rs 44, and e-books such as Ruskin Bond’s Great Stories for Children available for just Rs 39.
