Celebrities are making their loyalties known amid the recent allegations against Ellen DeGeneres and her self-titled talk show.
The television host has recently found herself at the centre of controversy following claims from employees that she created a toxic work environment of “racism, fear and intimidation” at The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Further allegations were made stating that “the office is a place where sexual harassment and misconduct by top executive producers runs rampant”.
Last week, DeGeneres issued an apology to her staff in which she acknowledged an alleged "toxic" work environment and promised that she is "committed to ensuring this does not happen again". The show is now undergoing an internal investigation into its workplace environment by WarnerMedia.
A number of celebrities have voiced their support for DeGeneres amid the controversy.
Everybody Loves Raymond star Brad Garrett rebuked DeGeneres’ apology, saying that a toxic work culture “comes from the top”. The actor also claimed to know “more than one who were treated horribly” and that the allegations are, in fact, “common knowledge”.
