Dharavi, which is one of the most densely populated areas of Mumbai, appears to have kept its Covid-19 cases under check amid a second wave of the pandemic that is sweeping Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. Amid the rise of fresh infections in India's financial city, Dharavi seems to be bucking the trend by reporting fewer cases than expected considering the population density in the area. The urban slum is home to over 6 lakh people who do not have the privilege of practicing social distancing in their congested hutments.
