Dhanush, Karthik Subbaraj React to Rajini Fans’ ‘Petta’ Repsonse

Rajinikanth’s much awaited Tamil film Petta is out in theatres starting Thursday, and fans are giving this Karthik Subbaraj film a huge thumbs up in theatres. Petta apparently brings Rajinikanth back in his vintage avatar and his fans can’t get enough of it.

Tamil star and Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, Dhanush, reacted to the film by calling it “epic”.

Karthik Subbaraj, the director of the film, tweeted thanking fans for the huge response to the film and also requested them to not share film clips from the theatre.

Here’s a look at how people are reacting to Rajinikanth’s latest entertainer. Tamil film industry trade expert Surendher MK is all praise for the film but says the second half was a little too lengthy and hence dragging.

Film journalist Kaushik LM on the other hand, felt Petta hardly had a dull moment.

Ramesh Bala, a film trade expert, rated the Rajinikanth film 3.25 out of 5 calling it a treat for Thalaivar fans.

Film trade expert and journalist Sreedhar Pillai’s verdict is that vintage Rajinikanth is back with a bang.

Going by the initial reactions, it looks like Petta will be a bigger rage at the box-office than the massively ambitious 2.0.
