Dhadak’s New Still With A Sad Janhvi Kapoor, Tense Ishaan Khatter And A Loaded Gun In The Picture Has Us Intrigued
Last month, Karan Johar shared the first look posters of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak. To say that fans went on a frenzy of sorts seeing Janhvi and Ishaan in their raw avatar won’t be an understatement. Dhadak is the Hindi remake of the superhit film, Sairat, directed by Nagraj Manjule. Although fans went completely berserk seeing the two cozy up in the posters, those who watched the original film, knew that the film is based on the concept of honour killing and doesn’t have a happy ending that one would wish for. While the previous looks from the film didn’t bring the seriousness of the film to the fore, a recent still from the film shared by KJo himself, shows the dreadful side of the film.
The still shows both Janhvi and Ishaan wearing a sad and forlorn look on their faces. Not just that, there’s also a gun in the picture, placed a stone throw away from the couple. The pic acts as a metephor for the difficult times that surface during their relationship. We all know that the original film had the girl belonging from a higher caste and the boy from the lower caste, which makes their love story unacceptable for the society. Though this film is based in Rajasthan, unlike the original film that was based in rural Karnala, a small town in Satara district, the basic premise of the story will remain the same. Apart from the intense look on Janhvi and Ishaan’s faces and the gun next to them, there’s also something written on the platform where they’re resting. One look at it and it will remind us of the names and love confessions we see strewn on the walls of old historic places. Anyway take a look at KJo’s post below: (ALSO READ : Jhanvi Kapoor – Ishaan Khattar’s Sairat Remake To Release Before Sara Ali Khan – Sushant Singh Rajput’s Kedarnath?)

The lead actors have already started shooting for the film and if KJo is to be believed, they are very much on track as far as the film’s shoot schedule is concerned. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan who has churned out hits like Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, the film is slated to release on July 6. We are extremely excited for the film and want to see if Janhvi and Ishaan do justice to their roles. With the original film already having impressed the critics and audiences at large, it would be interesting to see if its Hindi remake will be able to achieve the same feat. Stay tuned to this space as we keep you updated with everything you need to know about the film.
