Coimbatore, Feb 10 (PTI): To forge a tie-up for commercialisation of agricultural equipment developed by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), a meeting was held with the manufacturer-members of Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA).
Such a collaboration between the manufacturers and the university was needed for the benefit of the farming community, TNAU Vice-Chancellor Dr N Kumar said at the meeting held here on Tuesday.
The equipment were demonstrated at the meeting.
The machines were seed drills, vegetable and banana transplanters, high clearance weeder, corn cob harvester, tomato and brinjal seed extractors, turmeric value chain, spherical fruit grader, solar-biomass hybrid drier and plastic pyrolysis unit, and low-cost filter for drip irrigation system.
