Delta Plus Variant raises alarm across the nation; Should the gap between doses be reconsidered?

The Delta Plus Variant has now been classified as a variant of concern by at least 3 states, while the Centre has classified it as a variant of interest. This comes after three states recorded 40+ cases of COVID with the Delta Plus Variant. While the Centre has advised the state governments to ramp up the vaccination drive and take precautionary measures, nothing has been said in regards to the gap between the two doses of the vaccines, which was recently increased to 12-16 weeks.
