Delhiites rush to liquor shops after lockdown announcement

New Delhi, Apr 19 (ANI): Long queues seen outside liquor shop in Gole Market on April 19 after a week-long lockdown was announced in Delhi. Seeing rush, shop staffers were accepting only cash. Local said, “I got it after an half an hour, there is a long queue. And drinking is necessary.” Manish, a local said, “I have bought one carat and we have no idea of how long the lockdown will extend so it’s a quota of 24 days.” A woman said, “I have been drinking since 35 years and government should open the wine and beer shop so that medical expenses would be saved and all drunkards would remain fit as it will prevent us from any infection. There is no need to visit hospital for doses.”
