Delhi Twin Crisis: Along with toxic air; Citizens face shortage of water due to rising ammonia level

As Delhi continues to suffer from toxic air since the stubble burning, local emissions and unfavourable weather conditions that pushed the capital's overall air quality index into the severe category (AQI more than 400) and have hit a red alarm, it experiences more problems like water supply in the city has been affected.

There seems to be an abnormal increase in ammonia levels in raw water discharged into the Yamuna river by Haryana. This has impacted negatively the water treatment plants as well and the supply has taken a hit. The Delhi government now has to deal with this twin crisis.
