Delhi sees single-day spike of 7546 cases; COVID-19 surge triggers an alarm

Despite the COVID-19 menace that is continuing in India; there has been a consistent fall in the number of new cases. However, a surge of cases in the national capital has triggered alarm because 7500 new cases and 98 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Delhi which is reporting the highest number of new infection cases has a positivity rate of 12.09% which is now turning to be extremely worrisome. The Delhi High Court pulled up the AAP government over the deteriorating COVID-19 situation that we are witnessing in the national capital.
